I've bought everything so far at full price except the Mustang, and that's really because it's not my type of plane (don't hate me), and the same can be said of the Mi-8. That said, Belsimtek/ED will be getting $20 from me that they wouldn't have been getting before, and I dare say that the same is true for a lot of the DCS community, therefore, more sales... But I feel your pain having experienced it with the Huey. The real danger here though is that this pattern is repeating itself, and in the long term ED will see more and more people holding out for the sales to pickup the airframes unless they simply must have on launch day. F-86... yeah, I'll pick it up on sale, F-18...? Take my money now, I'll pay double to reserve the first download! I never had a problem that I paid 50$ for the Mi-8 until I got the newsletter. And I don't have a problem that I paid 50$ after I read the newsletter. Just because someone gets it cheaper than me, doesn't really change that I was happy to pay 50$ for it ten secodns before I got the newsletter. This ^^^ :thumbup: A sale doesn't devalue the product you paid for. The same thing happened to me on the release of the Huey. I paid full price then a month or 2 later there was the sale, but no heartburn here at all. I wanted the product right away and I wanted to support ED so it was a win for me. If you cant afford to be patient then shop around for the next best sim. Fuby Posted September 19, 2013 Share Posted September 19, 2013 For "me" personally.. I jumped on the Huey as soon as possible because it was an Item I longed for. Money really was not an issue. The MI-8 I know little of and it just didn't grab me that much. Till a month or two ago I flew the Huey everyday and even had a server for the darn thing up. I burnt out.. And now when I look at the server listing the huey only servers are no more.. Without a sale and an AD in my inbox I would probably have waited longer to get the Mi-8 and kept DCS World on the back burners again with Battle of Stalingrad coming out.(again money didn't matter) But this sale has brought the DCS World back into focus and for 20 bucks, an Item I may not have purchased for a long long time if ever.. will be purchased.. I never cared when the Huey went on sale after paying full price.. it's life and it's basic sales.. After the Huey purchase..I am sure the quality is also in this item.
