70% OFF!!

The only Module I need for the set is the P51 but I fear that steam will be the ones forcing a 70% reduction and ED will have to go along as per contract. Bit like most multi national retailers these days:(

Waiting for the Sale to go live.

Some other points:

1- Only titles available on Steam can be on sale naturally. As such, we can't provide a sale for FC3 and Mi-8 given they are not available on Steam (FC3 except for Russia never and Mi-8 later this month).

2- I'm sure we will do a big sale for DCS products on the Eagle e-shop later this year.

80% off uh-1h huey

On steam 80% Huey, 70% of as someone else already stated on warthog and mustang, even at these prices I'm still not a buyer though, was tempting but no.

Until additional maps are offered I've given up on this series, been a while and just came back to see what was new. 3rd party developers are losing sales from people like me that simply won't come back until new content in the way of terrain/maps are released.

While I have a choice, I will not buy DCS modules from Steam. Even with the 70% discount. If ED offer this discount through their web site I would purchase. That's just me.

Same here!

Mistakes, obviously, show us what needs improving. Without mistakes, how would we know what we had to work on!

Making DCS a better place for realism.

Let it be, ED!

Wow nice sale!

Luckily not the Mi-8. And even if it was on steam I SUPPOSE it would not have been on sale or BST would have made themselves very unpopular.

But I guess they are not stupid and remember the response when the Huey as a pre-released beta product went on sale.

Sorry for having to say this.

Yeah?...well here's the ridiculous BS that this situation has created...It wants to add an additional 13 gigs to the hard drive for a double install of DCS world that I don't have...which means I can't install the module...nor get its key in order to install just the module itself(which I'm sure is not 13 gigs)...now what??

Steam purchases can be activated outside of Steam. (AFAIK, They Have in the past.)

Purchase the DLC, Goto DCSW In your library, on the right side menu of the Main DCSW Home Page, Click "CD KEY"

attachment.php?attachmentid=87480&d=1378752908

2 Ways to Install the Module:

First: (Recommended)

Download the Appropriate Module from http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/

Second: (if Installer is no longer the same version as the DCSW You have installed (i.e., you rolled back to 1.2.5, or something)

Start

Type CMD

Open Command Prompt.

Type: CD\

ENTER Key

Type: CD Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bin\ (Or Path to your DCSW Bin)

ENTER Key

Type: DCS_updater.exe install <ModuleName>

ENTER KEY

<ModuleName> = A-10C, P-51D, SU-25, A-10A, UH-1H, KA-50, CA

After Install is finished.

Boot,

Start a Mission with the New Module,

Paste Activation License when Prompted.

Press OK, Viola.

My DCS World Install is a Mix-Sourced Family of Keys..

2 From ED

2 From Steam

2 From GameFly

I Personally just keep steams DCSW installed as a backup in case something goes wonky with my main install.

You can keep it in your library and pause/stop the download before it starts, so it shows in your library and you can purchase DLC for it, just dont let it download.. and choose to delete local files, so it's simply a Library Placeholder, as My Steam DCS:A-10C 1.1.1.1 was for years.
