If they occur every time you hit a pre-ordained g level, despite the moisture content of the air they become rather boring and cliche. To put it another way the moisture content and temperature of the air dictates how much pressure drop will cause condensation. So landing in Florida on a humid day (redundant) after a thunderstorm has dropped the temperature and raised humidity to 99.999% you will probably get vortices at 1g when slow on final coming off both wingtips and flap edges. In air that has dumped all of its moisture trying to climb over the Sierra Nevadas then adiabatically compressed to high temp coming back down isn't going to generate any vortices no matter how many g's you pull.
