Quite happy with upgrade!

Recommended Posts

Today i was a bit unsure about how things would turn out since i had bought 2 sets of 2x4GB memory which i wanted to put onto my old P6TDV2 board. Had almost tears in my eyes when i had to take out those nice big heavy Dominator sticks :D, Anyway i bought the pretty cheap Kingston Blu KHX1600C9D3/4GX modules and mounted 12 GB first. Everything ok. Then i've read various treads about varying luck with other configs. After thinking about it for a short while maybe i should try adding the last one too. Glad i did! According to my tests after i lost just a few MB in transferspeed from 12 to 16, but Tripple channel worked and all well in XMP modus. Kingston says modules are 1.5V, but package says 1.65V so put them at 1.56V.

While messing with this i also did a 3D Benchmark after downclocking the 920 to 3.8 Ghz to see what i got in the Passmark test software. All i can say is these 780's and Titan's are just brutal cards in a single GPU config. Very happy i put the bucks extra in the GPU part.

Check the values i got compared to the 680 and 6950 as attached!
