Screwed up my Views

In playing around with the view system for the A10, I seem to have really screwed things up. Most of the HUD is way off to the right and I cannot see the date on the lower right corner and few other problems.

 

The question is how do I get back to my old default views of the HUD?

If you did it by editing a file, the easiest way would be to delete the file and the run a repair, or course any mods will have to be reinstalled.

I removed all mods and ran DCS Repair and the pic below is what I still get and I have no idea what I did to cause this problem. I did play around with some view files, but I would have thought that all those files would have been repaired.

I would have thought so as well. I haven't had occasion to mess with the views in quite a while so I don't have a specific suggestion other than doing a complete reinstall.

If you were saving snap views, they are not saved in the game folder, so repair won't fix it. You need to delete them from your saved games folder.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had forgotten that about that being moved to Saved Games.

Thank you. That seemed to have done it. Life is getting complicated and DCS is not making it any easier having a file with the same name in two different places.

Just so you know, the reason for this being done this way is so that user defined changes can be maintained while still allowing the game to be updated easily.

I accept the reasoning, but have a problem with files with the same name and a lack of a clear explanation by DCS as to how they function, ect.

Now there I agree with you 100%. Doing all of this without documenting it is just making it harder on everyone.

 

The module manager is a great example.
