My old export files do not work in DCS World anymore.....

Did I miss a change log or something.

It has been a while since I used it( the export Maybe a couple of updates ago).

Strange.

Any changes to the lua socket functions as well, I can not connect to my listener.

Changes to export lua in Dcs world.

 

I also posted this question in the input output section of the forums , but I want to get as much info on this.

I have not used my export script for awhile in dcs world and now it does not work , I have made no changes to the script. Any clues as to why?

 

Also has there been a change in the Lua socket side of things in Dcs World Export?

I can not get a connection... using same script as I use in Black shark 2.

I used another script from b.s 2 before and it worked. Now does not. :cry:

rephrased it is something like this:

Try to minimize the room for 'Guessing' as much as possible - so you help others to help you without the need that they request for the appropriate data before they start the investigation.

O. k Dokey..... My bad.(duplicate threads, Did not want to get lost in the shuffle.)

As for the file ... I was under the impression that if anything changed in the way export works someone would be able to tell without the file. I will rectify and attach here.

The Blackshark.lua was the old export that was working.

Export tpc is the new socket file that will not connect.

Ah the EXPORT.lua - took a bit to understand what you were looking for.

And I thought you were trying to export & import your controls settings. Sorry for that. Input & Output is the correct place indeed I guess.

However, ED visits these bugs subforums quite often, let's leave it here a few days perhaps they can tell.

 

Can't really say that we're aware of any changes there, but then again - this is software & patching.

 

a) Running old BS2, Export.lua 'exports' properly?

b) Running DCS World, Export.lua 'doesnt export' anymore?

As for what you're connecting from, what devices are we talking about - or are there any other software you connect from on the same PC?

TBH, I have not messed about too much with the export.lua myself, but I guess there are people who can tell if you just give them a bit more details

Gremlins maybe?

 

So I guess that means I will have to go " gremlin" hunting.

I had a file that was working with my saitek gear, now does not work.

My new export files ( Socket) don't seem to be working. I was thinking maybe something in an update changed.

 

I will play with it a little bit and see what shakes out.

I sorted it out, there was some changes in the updates. We now have to create a folder and name it "scripts" and put it in user/saved games/Dcs.

I was unaware of that . Now that I am it works like advertised. Thanks!!!
