Rolibi555
Hey guys, I'm in need of a new graphic card, with a budget around 250 -300 euro's So the 660ti or the amd 7950 are doable. If you read the specs the amd is better. 3gb ram instead if two and a 384 bit (something) instead of 192. But in some benchmarks, the 660ti is faster. I know it depends on what games it is tested on. And frankly I doñt care about other games. 90% of my gaming time I play the A-10. So my question is, what's the best choice ? I searched the forum a bit, but the most graphic posts are about the gtx680 or higher. Not really in my league. mr_mojo97
Or you could buy a used higher end card. I recently bought a used Gainward gtx 670 phantom for £240 which I'm very happy with MSI M5 z270 | Intel i5 7600k (OC) 4.8GHz | MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X 11Gb | 500gb Samsung 970 Evo NVME M.2 (DCS World) | 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD (OS and Apps) | 32Gb 2400MHz DDR4 - Crucial Ballistix | Be Quiet Silent Loop 240mm | NZXT H440 case | Thrustmaster Warthog - 47608 with Virpil Mongoose joystick base | MFG Crosswinds - 1241 | Westland Lynx collective with Bodnar X board | Pilot's seat from ZH832 Merlin | JetSeat | Oculus Rift S | Windows 10 | VA |
Rolibi555
I think nvidia is better than amd at DCS. But why ? Is it the higher GPU speed ? Cause I read in different posts that dcs is using lots of GPU memory. Which the amd has more off. SkateZilla
I run 6048x1080 on a Single 7950 just fine :p, with the occasional slide shows due to known FPS Killing Effects.
