schkorpio
turn everyone to off/low including resolution. if that runs smoothly, start turning things on one or two at a time and see what happens. if it doesnt run smooth with everything set to minimal settings then something else is wrong. also I've noticed you have a AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core 4GHz Make sure you go into windows power options (just type "Power Options" when you are in the start menu or metro screen) and then set it all to high performance. TAnker737
Your fine with a FX-8350, Right now I have a i7 3930k with a saphire 7970 ghz 6gb and I get around 45-50 fps on max, But if I want a all around battle with ground vehicles it will drop for me around half the frames. Just do what I'm doing, waiting patiently till multicore support. I have a FX-8350 on my girlfriends rig with a 6970 and DCS is about 30-35 fps. Stick with your setup its a solid cpu. Prophet
We have had this problem since LOMAC. It has something to do with the explosion effect. Guns used to be a game pausing experience at below 1FPS. I think there are a few mods out there that replace the effect. We also get a huge FPS drop from the dust clouds, BS used to be horrible taking off. Not sure if its strictly an engine problem, or just effects problem. Its something with the high particle type effects. I am guessing its just something with the whole base code and that EDGE is going to fix all of these graphics problems (and bring new ones :D) Edited July 8, 2013 by =Prophet=

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 30, 2013 ED Team Share Posted July 30, 2013 CPU multicore is what we are all hoping for, some users have had success with SLI and XFIRE but its not always the case with everyone. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted July 30, 2013 ED Team Share Posted July 30, 2013 what is the differences of a gforce card and a amd card? there are many differences ( to many to mention) At the moment GForce cards seem to perform better with DCS, but we live in hope DCS can be optimised for ATI as time goes on.
