BO-105 PAH1A1 progress news

After what Belsimtek has done with the Huey in 1.2.6 and with the Hip, I am more and more becoming a real helo addicted. Soooo ... forgive me the impatience, but how are things going? Any updates, yet? :pilotfly:

Still busy with texturing the cockpit. Last week I had a phonecall with Oberstleutnant (I have forgotten the name) regarding the sound recording. he'll speak with the pilots in Roth and in october he will call me back for a target date. There I willl record the sounds and shoot additional pictures (Waffenbedienanlage and some interior stuff). Unfortunatly I'm not allowed to shoot photos of the HOT.

Maybe, you'll find some photos of the HOT in the web or do you have a contract, which prevent you from modelling HOT?

I already have photos from the web...but they are very small ...

I can only use photos from the web...in ROTH the HOT is in the Tube and they don't want to open the tube for me ...

Not allowed to take pics of the HOT ... you mean the actual missile? There must be pics on the internet - even in decent size/quality. I'll keep my eyes open for that.

Yes, the missile itself. The Model has already been done. I need the closeups for texturing.

this one from the threat you mentioned is my former BO-105 which was too inaccurate. I started from scratch because the model wasn't DCS-like quality. I already started texturing the cockpit ... and after that I start to skin the exterior model. In October I will go to Roth for sound recording and additional photoshooting ...

The texture on the seat self (chair and backrest) looks a little bit spongy/ fuzzy. The belt looks awesome.

Yes I know. I don't want to waste to much place for none-essential textures that's because you only see the seat when you turn backwards:thumbup:.

I hate to sound like a broken record... but when Oculus Rift will be mainstream all virtual plane developers will do this :doh: and say... "why oh why didn't we think more on that in the first place?"....
