Gunsight not correct - due to PLP-Monitorsetup

Hey Guys!

Because of the Summersale, now i also own DCS:CA.

Looks good so far, but due to my Monitorsetup (perfect for flying) i am having some troubles...

I think the problem is, that CA uses my Main-Monitor (1920x1080) for the Gunsight, but that doesn't match with the whole ingame-view (4274x1920)

see pics below:

middle of gunsight is aprox. at top of those trees

here i switch to zoom. gunsight looks on the ground in front of the tank

All targeting sights are bound to the DCS GUI in CA.

(not a very good design decision for Multi-head users)

One solution:

DCS GUI must be set to cover your whole center viewport - use App+S when it gets tricky to gather all needed info, as you will run with this PLP into problems with CA.

PeterP, whats this "Apps"button??

And the only solution would be to set the GUI to the whole game-res? (this includes all other modules, right)?

...well, thats annoying. so its useless with this plp-setting?? :(

I'm in the same boat as you, can't use the softh app key fix due to my 690 requiring sli in windowed to get full performance.

CA is unplayable for me because the crossairs are not aligned to the gun due to my dual monitor set up. This really needs to be resolved by ED.

Frustrating because we have a lot of missions at SimHQ that use CA, and not being able to us it properly just sux.

Patience " Grasshopper " Patience..they see all and work on them in a priority manor..

Reason is if they fix one item it may create other issues on another section of code..

I prefer them to take the time and go over the bugs slowly and get it alright this time instead of rushing it out and wait for us to ranting on what is now broken...

:music_whistling:

Are Dev's reading such posts?

Is there any chance to get this issue fixed...? Cause i don't think Skoop and me are the only ones having this problem?!?! :helpsmilie:

this problem still exist.....CA uses the GUI setting for the gunsight overlay....not very handy for a 2 monitor vertical stack

Viewports =

{

Center =

{

x = 0;

y = 0;

width = 1600;

height = 1800;

viewDx = 0;

viewDy = 0;

aspect = screen.aspect;

}

}

Gui =

{

x = 0;

y = 0;

width = 1600;

height = 900;

}

UIMainView = Gui

not a big complaint on my list...but note worthy....you will hear a lot less from me about the little stuff when you get the F-18 flying

P.S. I have flickering water textures because of my 1800 vert res....the water tiles at the bottom of my screen blank out when I pan my view around....once again not a big deal because I'm getting another 1600x900 screen and making a 2700x1600 viewport soon....hope 1600 isnot to big and the missing tiles fill in correctly....?????....

It only takes two things to fly, Airspeed and Money.
