Layered clouds - Stripy effect

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've been noticing that the clouds in the missions I play don't have a smooth transition. They seem to be in layers that don't interblend, creating a stripy effect.

I've attached a few screenshots of the problem.

Has anyone ever seen this, know what's causing this or maybe even know how to rectify it?

I just noticed this. I just up graded my monitor to a new 2560 X 1440 res pls panel that overclocks to 120hzs. I had to update to the latest driver to allow the overclock and now the clouds and sky are all messed up as you described.

Here's some pics I took as well.

I bet it's driver related.

I solved it for my problem, when I was adjusting / and testing monitor overclocks I must have set the desktop to 16bit color. That's why the pics look all poor detail in the clouds. I set it back to 32 bit color and it's perfect now.
