cichlidfan
Not within the existing software. IIRC, Gremlin had a HUD showing. cichlidfan
And one more question, is possible to relocate or resize HUD? I don't know that it is possible to do that but if you do some searches on the subject, put PeterP as the username. If there is a useful thread out there, PeterP is involved. zaelu
you can alter the settings in "server.lua" and move away the cockpit (cockpitlocalpoint iirc) then play with the settings for viewpoint from there and also from snapviews.lua. (snap 13 from each plane you want to modify) Basically you can make to cockpit be inside the plane (thus hidden) but the viewpoint still somewhere in the nose. JG14_Smil
Quick work-around would be to turn HUD brightness all the way off.
aussieboy
I'm not familiar with IIRC but does it have any .lua files in the cockpit directory, or is it all wrapped up in a .dll? If it has .lua files it shouldn't be hard at all but if it's in the .dll it may need a different approach.
zaelu
no it was an acronym because I was lazy at that hour returning from the bar :D ... it simply meant "cockpitlocalpoint if I remember correctly"... the line with values that can be modified is named like that... if I don't mistaken that is... but close anyway. The file is Server.lua from Config\view folder from DCS folder. JG14_Smil
DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Scripts\Devices_specs\HUD.lua file has the line to set HUD brightness at startup. "initial_brightness = 255.0"
