Leviathan
Is it normal that I get only between 8 and 12 KB/s for the autoupdater download? Or should I abort and restart? It's a vicious circle :megalol: Less people trying autoupdater and downloading it other ways, slower those ways are and more people trying autoupdater again. Cake
But when I abort autoupdater and resume it later, will it start from the beginning? This is crazy slow. It looks like it will take days at this rate. Would switching from my 30Mb connection to a dial-up help? What are the BBS numbers so I can dust of my old 3600 modem and get it faster? :joystick: Seriously though, is there a procedure to abort the auto-update and download the torrents, or now that I've started the auto-update would that break things? 6700K@4.6 48Gb - 1080Ti Hybrid - Warthog - RIFT

cichlidfan
can u safely abort the auto update download the updates via torrent and use them to update ? The torrent dl will be a complete reinstall not just an update. Which means deleting your current install. Cake
The torrent dl will be a complete reinstall not just an update. Which means deleting your current install. So does that mean it will use up one of the activations for each module? 6700K@4.6 48Gb - 1080Ti Hybrid - Warthog - RIFT
cichlidfan
No. Uninstalling and reinstalling will not use an activation. The activation remains in your registry and will be picked up by the new install. If i get it by tonight, i will seed from my office tomorrow the whole day. you'll enjoy my 600Mb/s upload ;) Edit : I should say 2x600Mb, cuz we have 2 fibers ISP ;) Edited April 30, 2013 by Erforce TASK / ROLES acronyms guide Black Shark A.I. datalink guide illustrated (v1.2.4 Available on Wiki) DCS World Codex 1.1 : full units list (Speed/Weapons/Armor thickness/Threat zone/Weapon damage...) Yellonet
They really should create update packages instead of full installs every new version, I highly doubt that there are really 7-8 GB worth of new files in 1.2.4 compared to 1.2.3. Update packages would be good for everyone, less time to download, less drain on server bandwidth and so on. I feel sad for people that only have slow DSL or something like that... :( i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
