I would love to see some tutorials where you work with wingmen.

I sometimes find that I don't really know what I am doing with them when I Give them radio Commands and feel that I cant complete some Missions because of this (I am sending my WM to thier Deaths)

Cheers

Okay. I'll see what I can do. I just want to finish the present tutorial first.

FWIW, I like bringing my wingmen back alive and never consider them to be expendible. But there are times when they seem absolutely determined to get themselves killed. And keeping them alive is far more of a workload than it ought to be. If nothing else, I find myself issuing the rejoin command with alarming frequency. Keep them on a very short leash and realize that they'll come to you by the most direct route. So make sure the route is safe before you give that particular command.

Wingman

I always try to bring the wingie home also.

Something to do with my Catholic upbringing I think.

I like to fly su-25 and 25t missions so I use the wingmen for SEAD and

mission support (attack primary target)

I have learned to have them fly trail or open formation then I bring them

close to the Air Defences and tell them to attack Air Defences.

Only then will they go SEAD.

After that I can get them to attack primary target.

Any helecoptors in the area cause them to request for tallyHo.

I just ignor them or repeat command to go trail.

I also noticed that when I use 25t's for SEAD flight ahead of my flight

they often react to the first threat by firing against it and dumping all rest of their missiles.

I wish I could control the flight ahead of me like what type of formation and

which planes attack which threat.

That would be fun (sigh)

I liked your last Tutoral for missile evasion in the su-27

When I watched the F-Pole movie and your tutorial together I learned alot.

Though I don't fly BVR much since FC. (zero actually)

I really enjoyed your a-10 sam avoidence tutoral.

I like to learn on my own then learn what other people know and your a-10

tutoral brought new techniques to the table.

Good luck with a wingman Tutorial it won't be easy.

Can't wait for Tank Killer (and black shark in the tween)

I could'nt have dreamed of a better new sim

just a "small" problem. Wingmen in LockOn suck, like most of AI. IMHO it's a big problem in a game that does want to be a sim and not an arcade. Today there's no aircraft in the world (apart from stealth and recon planes) that does fly solo missions.

BTW, LockOn is not the only game with this problem. I also play Raven Shield sometimes and friendly AI is really horrible. Obviously enemy AI-controlled units are real killers!
