As straight as an arrow so

My thoughts go out to his family & friends, R.I.P. Jim.

High Flight

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth

Of sun-split clouds, — and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of — wheeled and soared and swung

High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,

I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung

My eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .

Up, up the long, delirious burning blue

I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace

Where never lark, or ever eagle flew —

And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod

The high untrespassed sanctity of space,

Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

May blue skies and calm winds follow you, Jim.

You will be remembered.

Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

Very surprising news - I was only speaking to him a week or so ago and was blissfully unaware of his health problems. In the many conversations we had online and the few we had face to face, he always came across as a very passionate and very genuine person who loved doing what he did.

Such sad news - I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Just last month I spoke to him on the phone with no idea he was not well.

We will all miss him.
