Plagi_Arism
I can play this game too: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1996107&postcount=52 Nice to hear ED F-16's development continues, but details are important. Hopefully will not have to wait another six years. May the THRUST be with you
Morbus
SkateZilla, may I ask you a favour? 1.Could you add G-indicator into the HUD? 2.Could you correct weight and climbrate according to real parameters of F16-A? I corrected Weight in F-16Demo.lua and the same about thrust, but not sure if it works. I`m asking for help, because I have no special knowledge to it by myself. I wouldn`t bother you if I could do this. Best regards Edited March 30, 2014 by Morbus

I wouldn`t bother you if I could do this. Best regards I don't post much on the forums but, everytime I check this thread I see either "Do this do that" or " I can't wait for this to be released" If you don't read the entire post let me reiterate simpler for all of you, this is a "mod" that is to be used as a guidance tool to put you in the right direction. You can either wait for somebody to update and add more goodies or you can simply do it yourself. Saying you don't know how to do something is an excuse not to learn how to do it. Everyone who has done something to do with this tool has taken the time to learn and get to the point they have. Majority of the people on here are dedicating their spare time to help where they can when they can, and you should appreciate what they've done for you guys so far... I'm sorry to use Morbus as an example but it seems people don't get it.
SkateZilla
I have a Data LUA Update Planned as well as adding 2 or 3 possibly 4 skins, However I've had the FLU the last week and a half, and by time I get home from work I'm drained of energy, and I end up just going to sleep. I was looking into re-building the virtual gear / suspension blocks to try and resolve the ground handling issues, but I cant do that until I'm over this flu. I think I changed it to F-16C data at one point since we where using F-16C External Model, and Most of the Data I had was for F-16C, If you can Link Me to a Data Sheet for the F-16A (Thrust, Weight, etc etc) I'll be happy to change the values to A Specs. As for the G Indicator, I'll see if I can get a Debug Display for it to work. Should be pretty simple. and I'll just add it to the HUD Glass somewhere. edit: this is what i could find at f-16.net Engine: One Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-200 turbofan, rated at 12,240 lb.s.t. dry, 14,670 lb.s.t. full military, and 23,830 lb.s.t. with afterburning. Maximum speed: Mach 2.05 at 40,000 feet. Service ceiling 55,000 feet. Maximum range 2400 miles. Initial climb rate 62,000 feet per minute. Dimensions: wingspan 32 feet 9 1/2 inches, length 49 feet 3 1/2 inches, height 16 feet 8 1/2 inches, wing area 300 square feet. Weights: 16,285 pounds empty, 25,281 pounds combat, 37,500 pounds maximum takeoff. If this is correct, I'll convert the numbers to the systems DCS Uses. Morbus
Confirmed data. I converted it in to meters and kilograms. Used this convertor: http://www.unitjuggler.com/index.html 1.Weights empty: 16,285 pounds = 7386 kg 2.Climb rate: 62,000 feet per minute = 315 m/sec 3.Thrust with afterburner: 23,830 lb.s.t. = 10809 kg force But according to F-16A manual max thrust of PW-200 is 25,000 lb (11339 kg) Edited April 2, 2014 by Morbus

Moose322
I've updated the braking, and suspension. It's a fair bit better than before. I'll try to have it updated a couple times a month no promises though as far as the HUD I'm not sure how to do any of that. http://https://www.dropbox.com/s/i1wdy5gw4um94qx/entry.lua Just put that in place of the old entry in your F16Demo folder
Winfield_Gold
Probably not relevant but for the later style engines with f-16's were being re-powered with, here is the performance data http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ru/files/645693/

Morbus
Link (file 300mb) on the first page doesn`t work. Pleace, refresh it. P.S. I wanted to compare CpSmile`s and SkatZilla`s updated aircrafts. The first one is more sensitive. May be I am mistaken. Or this is the result of AOA limitter. P.S.S. In Open Beta 1.2.8 Trakir doesn`t work with mod. bertux25
I found this thread time ago, very good job. It work with track ir but not 6DoF. Only delete first and last line in input/trackir. Only a question. What is the aproximated landing speed?, Have problems with stop it. Morbus
I started learning C++ and can create simple arithmetic programs (Useing Code Blocks). But my level of codeing is too primitive to edit ''.lua'' files. Could anybody give me an advice or a prompt how to add to the HUD G-indicator and Gun-cross (not-movable funnel) and which file should be edited? RagnarDa
Look in Cockpit\Scripts\HUD\Indicator. I think there might be some texturing or something also and I can't help you with that. danvac
I have added mach number, g-load and VVI without problems. I also switch altitude from radar to barometric when over 3000 feet. Extracting into F-16A v2.0\Cockpit should do the magic. VVI is probably in meter per second.Cockpit.zip Edited May 6, 2014 by danvac

aaron886
A simple model of fuel consumption is very easy to write. Apply specific fuel consumption (augmented and unaugmented) to thrust, and you should get a realistic fuel burn assuming the flight model produces realistic thrust. Fantastic, I believe to get the HUD Working, we'd only have to create the Lines/Art/Font TGAs and Define them, just havent had time to practice the coding/test yet. Also, regarding gear collision model, when I get time, I may adjust the actual collision model for the gear to make it wider (to about the outter edge of the tires, maybe a hair further), as right now the aircraft seems to roll sideways and the gear, even with suspension animations, go into the ground. I've re-constructed the "Virtual" Struts in the gear data block, and it didnt really help with that issue. Also, Since I havent been able to get time to work on the gear, I've uploaded the Fictional Camo's I Posted images of Earlier as promised. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5cIIRNjrbc7Smk1UktIei05blE/edit?usp=sharing 1 Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
