I think it is a known issue.

In dcs world still present. Near hosta there is a huge bridge. I put some tanks for crossing the bridge but they Stop and dont cross the bridge.

What is more, if you put a convoy from hosta to gelenzik in the road near the coast, the convoy stop in all bridges

I've attached a track.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll run a scan against the bug db, if not I'll post it. :)

Maybe a case of the AI actually being smarter than you? Maybe those T-80 drivers took one look at that bridge and said "NO EFFIN WAY that thing can support 18 of us!".

Of course I guess would imply they're still too dumb to know how to take turns :)

The best solutions for this from what I have read and have experimented with is:

1) Keep the speed at or less than 11

2) Keep the column as short as possible

3) Keep them out of combat as much as possible while crossing

If the vehicles try to cross too fast their can be a jam up at the beginning/middle/or end of the bridge. Keeping the column shorter prevents the rear vehicles from trying to move to the side of the bridge and getting stuck if the lead vehicle has to follow a curve in the road after crossing. The vehicles if you look closely do not always stay in the center or respective lanes of the road, the rear vehicles will "lean" a bit to the sides while trying to follow the lead vehicle. Finally, if the vehicles are attacked and the bridge is damaged, a lead vehicle is destroyed, or the column tries to spread out as if on the road, the units tend to get stuck.

As always, corrections in my observations are always appreciated. :)

Crossing bridges bugs

Hi all,

The best solutions for this from what I have read and have experimented with is:

1) Keep the speed at or less than 11

2) Keep the column as short as possible

3) Keep them out of combat as much as possible while crossing

...cut...

I'm sorry, but don't work...

- speed 5 Kn

- only 1 truck

- no enemies

I have tested the crossing of all the longer bridges in the simulator's world, the trucks were stopped (after losing the straight road and slipped to the right) only in three bridges between Hosta and Sochi:

43° 32' 28" N - 039° 48' 10" E

43° 31' 03" N - 039° 51' 27" E

43° 32' 51N - 039° 47' 15" E

Found another bug here, the road isn't flat however the truck doesn't stop:

Not to Necro post here but in spite of a variety of upgrades this is still a pretty serious problem. This post references a proverbial stack of armor about 20 vehicles high on a bridge just south of Sochi, near the Abkhazian border.
