Amazing videos of (mostly) Saturn and its moons and rings (a little bit of Jupiter mixed in):

I saw that article this morning. I thought I was on The Onion instead of beeb news. Utterly crazy, and enough to make me glad I live in one of this island's other capitals!

Don't drink red bull round there. Getting Wings would be bad at this point. :D

Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing

Don't you think we're going a bit far here. :D

Nothing new, at least over here. I'm pretty sure I remember reading that they had Avenger SAMs stationed around key locations in Washington D.C. Not sure if they still do or not (I would hope so), but it makes a lot of sense. It's better to have the terrorist aircraft crash in a random spot than have them crash in a spot specifically designed to do maximum damage/deaths. Imagine what would happen if like, a 737 was flown into a jam-packed stadium *shudder*- that's what the people in charge of defending the London Olympics are worried about. I think you can see how flaming bits of 737 falling across a random swath of London is preferable to that.

fair enough. Still must be scary for residents when they get a leaflet saying we might build a SAM site on the roof.

So it's scary to be more protected? I guess I just think differently. Personally, the more weapons I have for defending me, the safer I feel. A SAM site on the roof would be awesome (just so long as I'm not in like, Iran, where that could invite a HARM missile strike).

I think that most people don't think about an airliner coming down on them and therefore don't realize the threat. Being woken up by someone saying we might have to shoot one down would really shock people.

Probably because most people are fairly oblivious/reactionary. Most Americans hadn't even heard of Al Qaeda and OBL until Sept. 11, even though they had attacked us what- twice?- already, and we had even retaliated with cruise missiles. Hell, ABC(?) news had even gone to Afghanistan and done an interview with OBL in 199(8?). I remember seeing it on TV. He told the audience that he was going to kill a lot more Americans, and he already had a proven track record of doing so at that point, so there was no reason not to believe him. And yet, people remained completely oblivious to the danger. They were shocked that someone would fly a plane into a building, even though that was a widely-known wet dream of terrorists for many, many years before Sept. 11. Remember the guy who crashed his small plane into the White House in, what was it... '96? And there were other foiled plots before that. Yet, people were actually surprised that there were people like that out there, willing to do such things to us.

Hmm... maybe it would be time to make a "Hitler finds out the Third Reich has run out of cocaine" youtube vid. Haha, you could cut out the part where he tells everyone to leave the room and make it look like they left because he let rip a massive flatulence bomb. Intersperse some of his angriest rants with farts.

No wonder he needed to rule the world, a coke habit is expensive enough but that champion (I assume he wanted the best) bull semen habit had to cost a fortune.:D
