As for the patches, they are incremental. You would have to determine what version is on the disk and then DL the appropriate set of patches. I would just DL 1.1.1.1, you have plenty of time, and use the key on your box. Run the EXE to install. Then like KillaAlf said (NOTE: He does mean 'fly'. It will not ask for the key until you actually start a mission).
