zorlac
Is it possible to ban a player from a server (not just kick)? If so, how do i do this? Is it a ban on the player name or the IP address? Where is this list held, and can it be undone at a later time? Thanks in advance for the help

Try blocking an IP range, say from .100 to .1000 :D
SUBS17
You can contact hyperlobby if someone is banned, they might be able to prevent the persons login. What was it that happened? [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]

zorlac
Work is in progress on this, but as I am away from work (where the server is), I wont be able to get stuff done until next week at the earliest (unless I can convince the wife that this is "essential emergency maintenance for work related equipment"... :) )

Pilotasso
...not on that server for sure. there were heavy lag problems. ;) [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic4448_29.gif[/sigpic] My PC specs below:Case: Corsair 400C PSU: SEASONIC SS-760XP2 760W Platinum CPU: AMD RYZEN 3900X (12C/24T) RAM: 32 GB 4266Mhz (two 2x8 kits) of trident Z RGB @3600Mhz CL 14 CR=1T MOBO: ASUS CROSSHAIR HERO VI AM4 GFX: GTX 1080Ti MSI Gaming X Cooler: NXZT Kraken X62 280mm AIO Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2+6GB WD 6Gb red HOTAS: Thrustmaster Warthog + CH pro pedals Monitor: Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD Freesync HDR400 1440P
VapoR
Unfortunately the lag IS an issue. With mission designs like what is on the 504 server there are alot of objects and alot of stuff happening at once. But when it is running smoothly, it's great immersion and tons of fun!! I think the 1.11 patch will help alot for missions of this type, they seem to be putting emphasis into network stability.
GGTharos
I don't think any amount of 'network stability' coding will save you from overloading the CPU or client's network connections. Design your missions carefully, that's all there is to that. coldcrew
it's not that hard to add the ability to ban users.. if ED bothered to do it. It would probably take less than a day
Hitman IF
Perhaps ED could manage to add a ping kicker setup through LUA? ---SVBS squad is playing Lock On, ADF/TAW and Typhoon now at www.svbs.co.uk !---
Gazehound
Perhaps ED could manage to add a ping kicker setup through LUA? There is one (config.lua), but it is generally relaxed to avoid pinging out during loading. VVS504 Red Hammers
