74th vfs 'The Flying Tigers' - Training College - Flight School.

This is not a recruiting drive. We currently are at peak numbers. This is nothing other than a 'gift' to those members of the community who will get something out of them.

Greetings fellow A-10C pilots.

In the 74th, we have a training college. The college has three schools. Flight, Naviagtion and Engagement, in that order. Our Candidates start in the Flight School and make there way through the 6 lessons until their final assessment which is done online. Each Lesson is taught via a forum entry with pictures and text, custom made and specific to our own College. Prior to our candidates downloading a mission pack they are given the option of watching a video where the specific lesson in question has been completed.

Until now, these videos were unlisted on youtube, but i have decided to open them due to the huge number of new pilots to the sim who just need a little bit of guidance and is their first time in the A-10C, or as is the case for some, new to flight sims fiull stop!

To the majority of you (LO, FC 1.12, FC2), these videos will be of little use, they are very basic maneuvers that you could do with your eyes shut.

I would ask you all to bear in mind that each 'video' is 'part' of a lesson, that is to say that the video makes more sense when watched after reading the lesson info in our college. Clearly, the college is only open to our candidates and this information is ommited.

"ok, ok already, god you go on! how do i see these videos??"

You may access these videos by going to youtube and searching for 'tigerpwrr' without the ''. When the videos are listed, click on the name, not the video title returned from the search. This will take you to our official Youtube Homepage as listed on the DCS Main Wiki or by going direct to the video listing here: http://www.youtube.com/user/Tigerpwrr#g/u

Alternatively, they are accessible on our website in the A-10C videos and screenshots forum as a sticky.

On behalf of all members of the 74th vfs 'The Flying Tigers' - enjoy.

We hope they are of some use to some of you.

Regards

'T'

Great news, Tyger. I'm sure many pilots will find the material quite useful, myself included. A great contribution to the community.

Thanks. o7

really really awesome work there Tyger, I took a look at your Flightschool (thx for preaccess) and I really have to say that there is probably no Flightschool which is THAT "failsafe"...

I really recommend this to all new Pilots in DCS !!! after succeeding these lessons, u can apply as a "combatready wingman" in every squadron!

I thank u personally for the huge amount of work u put in there, and my GREATEST RESPECT for you SIR, for give it away to the community for free.

Im looking forward to more fabulous offers from a great community for a great community

I really liked the pop-up attack demonstration video. How do I find the actual instruction part for this so I can do it like you that has the airspeed altitudes angles and so on so I can learn it?

just go to http://www.quasar-49th.de/briefing_tool/index.php

there u see an "Community Training for DCS:A10C Newcomer(74th)" .... now just click on this "flight" and choose the slot u like to take part in the training on the 2nd of June 2011

and as password u take "sunrise" and there u go :pilotfly:

TeamSpeak3 data is also available in the ATO-flight
