Slew speed change for Shkval?

The slew speed can be adjusted by the Shkval Optics Scan Rate knob.

It can be found just below your autopilot panel.

Open:

Scripts\Aircrafts\Ka-50\Cockpit\Devices_specs\SHKVAL_V.lua then find:

slew_acceleration_base  = math.rad(6)  -- rad /sqr sec

and change it (this "6") for another value - higher = faster slew.

Thanks, guys, for bringing this up. The cockpit Optics Scan Rate knob doesn't seem to change the slew speed; at least not in my installation. That's always been a liability in targeting aircraft. However, changing the value in the Shval_v.lua file does, as explained in Boberro's post. Another mystery solved!

Optics scan rate in cockpit is used to speed control of Automatic Shkval Scan function. Trick above changes speed of Shkval itself but keep in mind it is not realistic it seems. ;]
