The missions are very complex with lots of triggers and units.

Editing the missions will break the trigger logic and mutate the defined difficulty level.

If you have any suggestions please send me a email.

The missions are still work in progress and suggestions will make the missions even better.

 

If you still want to edit the missions by yourselfe, please add "Mission edited by [your name]" to the briefing.

 

I don't take responsibility for missions hosted on other download-servers or game-servers.

Sweet! I can't wait to fly Rookie terrorists with an A-10. Can you imagine what will happen to those bridge defenses when a single CBU-97 hits them?

^^ Though that's what happens to pretty much anything when a CBU-97 hits it... a little overpowered :)

Confession: I was so curious that I signed up as you had originally requested and got them from your web site. It would be fun to fly with you guys some time, although, whereas I can operate the A-10 and speak schoolboy German, I cannot do both at the same time.

Dragon we played more of your missions tonight and had a blast. Very nicely done once again.

 

I did find a problem though. You use deactivate groups and that causes instant CTD. Check my link below. I noticed this on GuadautaRush. I had 2 CTDs while hosting it at same location so I looked in my logs and seen it was transport.dll. Right away I knew there must be a trigger with group deactivate. I found two of them. I simply took them out and didnt have any problems then. I do know them groups wont be deactivated but it didnt look critical.

Thank you for reporting that bug.

 

But two? I only used "Group deactivate" one time in GudauraRush.

 

Sadly there is no other way to fix this.

In GudautaRush there is a "dummy" convoy waiting for the supply trucks delivered by the IL-76.

Once the IL-76 landed at Gudauta this "dummy" convoy will be removed by "deactivate group" and the original convoy (with supply trucks) will be actiated at the same location.

 

So if you delete the trigger the "dummy" convoy will still be there once the original convoy will be activated.

 

I will delete this trigger too till the CTD is fixed by ED.

Patches are becoming a mission Builders nightmare. Would be nice if the testers tested with a few community missions too. The campaign missions were built with less ME functionality methinks.

Version 1.2 released

 

Change log:

 

- GudautaRush

Removed "deactivate groupe" trigger till ED fixed the CTD (I have to add it again once fixed)

 

- TheDam

Moved many units in the city. It seems like ED rebuild the city with new buildings and trees.

Added a WP and named all WPs.

Created new briefings pictures

Thanks for the report. I always shot down the IL-76 so the convoy was not triggered and we had no CTD.

YoYo, play them in a LAN server you create for the mission in MP. If you read anything that Dragon has written, here, in the brief or on his own web site you will see that he makes it very clear: These missions are for MP.

Thanks for sharing, Dragon! I knew you had some misgivings about this and wanted a way to "lock" your missions, but I'm glad you're sharing even BEFORE that feature.

Yes I'm a big pighead and had to swallow my own pride.

I'm a admin of a active squadron and don't have to be that egositic.

Hi YoYo and welcome to my daily battle against the SP :D

 

F.Y.I.

Every mission (not only mine) are running in MP and SP. It's the same game-engine.

The only difference between a SP mission and a MP mission is that you NEED to have a "Player" in SP to get into the cockpit.

In MP you CAN have a "Player", but this doesn't matter because the "Player" is a "Client" too.

 

I added a "Player" to all my missions. So technically every mission is playable in SP.

But I didn't do this to get you the possibility to play this missions in SP!

I did this because it is easyer to test this missions while creating it in the editor.

 

If you start the missions in SP it will work but there are way to many enemys for you "lone wolf". ;)

 

 

I have a little discrepance now:

I know the SP community is much bigger than the MP community and if I want that my missions become famous I have to create a SP missionpack.

But in my point of view you "lone wolfes" don't know what you are missing in MP.

It is much more fun to play in coop with all the other guys, fly in formation and attacking targets together while arrangeing the attack with TeamSpeak.

 

My appel to every "lone wolfe" out there: Find a squadron, do trainings together, learn from each other and have fun together!

Belive me if you don't try it you will miss something! :pilotfly:

That's the only way to get the community togeter and the game alive.

Thx for explanations and Your new PDF. It helps. Sure, I know "feeling" if You fly in multiplayer and I agree with You about level of this realism in this mode. Mutch better than in SP. But - for MP You need more time to organize all mission (& team too). Sometimes we havent a time, so, SP mission (Your's) its very good idea in this time. If You will have a time please to do this Pack for SP mode too. Im sure You will do better than me if I'll use Mission Editor.

But - for MP You need more time to organize all mission (& team too).

=STP= is flying nearly every day. We don't have a fix training day so everybody is able to join and fly with us together once he is having time.

 

I will think about creating a SP version. But MP is my first priority.

Please note that the compatibility patch will come (some day) and I have to add the Ka-50s again. So I don't want to change the missions too much because this would mean a lot of work once the patch is out.
