Pasko
Whatever graphic configuration I use, I have large fps droop inside cockpit. When I use F2,F3,F4 or even F6 views I have average FPS around 80-100 FPS but inside cockpit FPS drops to 20-30 FPS. Is it normal or I need to change something? My PC config CPU- Q9550 @ 3.4 MEM-OCZ XTC Platinum 4*1024 MB @ 400 GPU- BFG GTX 295 @ factory settings sometime I use (650/1400/1200) MB- Gigabyte GA P35 DS3 rev1.0 Graphic res 1680*1050 Win 7 -64bit Also several times game freeze and I see that my GPU-s have 0% load (sometimes it is going to last 1-10 sec and game continue to work and sometimes just freeze). Have latest drivers from Nvidia - 266.58 This problems are happening in 32 bit or 64 bit game. Looking forward for some tips or suggestions about this –let me say- problems. In DCS options, set cockpit to 512 or 1024, not every frame. You are getting outstanding FPS, compared to others. Wait for beta 6, more optimized graphics(cockpit is 3D)Your GPU is on the Low side, set settings to med or low..see what happens? Frazer
I experienced the same. And I got cockpit res at 256! :( First I would like to say that ED did a great job at optimizing the landscape & buildings. Not that the frames increased much over previous versions of DCS/FC2, but it looks much much better (no "see through" buildings anymore & visibility connected to the zoom). But, the cockpit itself has a huge impact on FPS. If I sit on the runway with F11 I get 55/60 fps and when I switch to cockpit in that same position I get only 30. I know the pit is complex and such, but even with the standard configuration of the MFD the frames drop by 50%. I think this is too bad and should be not that much. 30 FPS is playable, but not optimal by far. On top of that, I tweaked visibility ranges to get optimal performance - eye candy balance. Pasko
If I put My MFD res to 256 ,TGP start to flickering :( CPU- Q9550 @ 3.4-MEM-OCZ XTC Platinum 4*1024 MB @ 400 - GPU- BFG GTX 295 @ (650/1400/1200)- MB- Gigabyte GA P35 DS3 rev1.0 Graphic res 1680*1050 - Win 7 -64bit
BTTW-DratsaB
Caused by SLI Yeah, unfortunately if you run SLI the TGP and MAV images will flicker unless you select an Every Frame option. I'm having to run 512 Every frame, which does cost some performance but I'm putting up with it until they get a fix going. I really want to be able to use the 1024, non Every Frame setting. I noticed the other day that Wags uses a GTX 295 (as do I) also, so I wonder how he is dealing with the SLI flicker problem? At least we can be fairly certain he has experienced it and (hopefully) has plans to get it fixed.
