Most of the video's posted here are out of cockpits of jets, really cool stuff ofcourse but something you can only drool about to do in real life. Now, I wanted to post something that people like you and me CAN do in real life. Not many people are known with gliders, and what they are capable of. True fun I tell you :joystick: :D

Now that was a nice flight, Frazer. I bet that your virtual aerobatic skills give you a huge advantage in learning real aerobatics.

Well, for me it helps in a way that I am familiar with learning maneuvers and trying to fly them every time exactly the same and as precise as possible. Also, I'm familiar with the ups and downs in the learning process.

One major difference though is that in real you need to fly maneuvers like the instructor tells you to. Often that is not the way you thought was right. So, instead of "inventing" I need to "copy" and in some way, relearn maneuvers.

30 minutes of flying in a JAS 39D Gripen. The flight was arranged for a Swedish journalist. Formation flying with an SK 60 (SAAB 105), supersonic and a steep climb along with some more good stuff. Enjoy!

Have two questions about that footage.

1. Is that a HUD recorder that is in front of the HUD?

2. Does anyone know what kind of gadget is to the left of the HUD ?

Yes it´s a HUD-recorder. No idea why that tall tough. And the other gadget - no idea what it is! This individual is operated by SAAB, so it is not entirely corresponding on the production line birds.

During this flight they also perfomed some flight tests, so it might have something to do with that.

It's not defense related, probably soundtrack/whichever company has the rights to them restricting it to US. My guess is the song has a different record label in Europe. If it helps I'm in Sweden and I can't watch it either :D

Works fine for me :hmm:
