wash the knob very well with soap dish and old toothbrush. let dry.

spray paint (or even better airbrush, much finer pigment) with layer of white and wait patiently - 2 days.

block the arrow imprint with modelling clay. if it's the flat surface pointer knobs then use thin strip of quality masking tape for scale modeling. tutorials exist on how to cut thin strips of masking tape (for model car pinstripe painting) as well.

paint layer of light blocker - black. or better yet 2 layers (sometimes one will not fully block the light) and leave it to cure. reapply wider strip of masking tape to the pointer (if it is the combined white black line and coat with grey.

the hardest with the process is waiting. all in all it takes a week or so. it's crucial to let the coat harden for at least 48 hours before masking. if you feel adventurous you can try earlier but you risking lifting the paint .

good luck.

Anton.

That switch has been corrected in the  A-10C Warthog Switch list the switch is a round top locking toggle with an A locking three position switch

MS27409-1A (corrected) this is a 4 pole. you can get by with a double pole

2TL1-10A, MS27408-4A or a single pole A type round head.

ah by the way nice to see my thread has warranted a 1 star rating thanks

Deadman, did you stop to produce your knobs?

Hi All (and especially Deadman).   It seems I'm a lot late to the ballgame here.  Recently retired and discovered DCS.  Having a background in electronics and woodworking, I decided I wanna build an A-10C pit and have been trying to research the issue, which led me here.  It seems that everyone said the canonical dimensions for an accurate pit lie with Deadman and his trainer.  I've gone through a lot (but not nearly all) of the posts, and it seems that I may be too late to the party.  It appears there was some sort of commercial plagiarism of Deadman's intellectual property and so it has been pulled.  Deadman, do you sell your dimensions for personal ONLY use?  If not, does anyone have any ideas where to get good dimensions for the pit, panels, and ACES II for free, cheap, or not so cheap (obviously in that order is best)?

Thanks everyone.

Hello and welcome.

In my opinion "misunderstanding/disagreement on merits and entitlements"  is much more close to what transpired rather then "commercial plagiarism". But I'm not going to argue.
At any rate it's a shame that we didn't get to see that trainer in action. maybe someday.

To your question,
Free, plans released by Lynxdk: http://lynx.dk/downloads/a-10c-plans-blueprints/
Not free - plans by this gentelman: https://forums.eagle.ru/profile/8694-stang/ Stang can also be found on FB DCS cockpits group .

There is another author/seller and resource that I'm failing to bookmark every time I'm stumbling upon it. maybe someone will chime in

good luck on your build! make sure to share your progress.

Anton.

The A-10 cockpit

were released with the limited interested i never released any other work some things that i did release in digital format were used with out consent ie plagiarized so I quite publishing there were individuals i offer to give free information if they signed a NDA saying they would not sell my work as thier own or publish my work and investments in to part needless o say there has been nothing released.
