Woot!

Just came across this link!

when is Eagle Dynamics going to rock the Sim world with this plane...and Glass Cockpits too please *big grin*

Maybe in 50-60 years from now one big part of its systems and performance won`t be secret anymore so it will be possible for ED to rock the Sim world, if ED is still here and makes sims by that time  So stay tuned. :P

I think it's just an optical illusion caused by the angles. Certain angles from the "flying" vid corresponds with the runway test pic.

Another indicator that there's more than 1 airworthy PAK-FA is the fact that prototypes usually do their maiden flights with extended undercarraige to prevent loss or damage of the sole aircraft caused by hydraulics failure.

As we can see, this particular PAK-FA flew for 47 minutes with gear up and locked and we can probably draw conclusion that there's more than 1 airworthy PAK-FA and that this 47 min flight, which is way longer than usual maiden flights, was the first public but not the first ever PAK-FA flight!

:smilewink:

I wonder how many security agencies roam thru forums like this one and collect data from us, ignorant wannabes...

There's tons of "Modern" or slightly less modern aircraft that ED should take care of before PAK-FA, I can hold my horses and wish our kids shall play DCS:PAK-FA or whatever the name...

I confess I cant get enough of the PAK FA footage, although the top perspective is somewhat uglier. :)

Anyone know if someone is working on a 3d model yet? Perhaps for LO or FSX...

The current pics should be enough to make a fairlyaccurate model. I'd love to be able to fly one in a sim and take some cool screenshots.

I have the slight feeling, that it could be classified ;). I could be wrong as well, though.

For the people saying it is ugly etc... I think it is a look that will grow on all of us... I didn't like the F-22 at first, but now I do. Different paint and different angles and different backgrounds really make planes look better in most cases.

Well, it's not love at first sight. After a period of acclimatisation, I think we'll bury it in our hearts. And in my oppinion it's a nice plane and it looks like a mixture of the MiG-29 and the Su-27 put in a wafer-toaster.

On the other hand, don't forget: it's made for war and on the battlefield you have no jurors that give 'look-points' like in the Eurovision song-contest:P. Although this way we could have nicer and unbloodier wars. "And here are the results of the Turkish jury...";).

I used to love her, but I had to kill her

I had to put her, six feet under

And I can still hear her complain
