Hi and welcome!

If you mean modules: I love the MiG-21, the M2000C, the A-10C and the Huey.

It really depends on taste, almost all released modules can be great fun IMO.

Hi thanks, I think I´ll get the M2000C. Really looking for a modern fighter-jet with AG capability. What about the community made mods? Any suggestions there?

Depends on what you're looking for. There is pretty much everything like user made cockpits, static structures, NVG (Night Vision Goggles) or terrain textures.

I will link a really good thread where some good mods are listed once I can find it :D

In this forum section you can find some modifications: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=110

Good evening slaves of DCS.

45 year old Dane, that has been lurking around in the forum shadows for almost 2 years now, but figured it was about time to take the plunch and register to the forum. I've been rather on/off with flying in DCS - real life coming in between, so almost feels like I have been starting from scratch every time. Hopefully this time around, there wont be much off time.

Currently flying the Mirage, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the F-5E (and F-14, Viggen, F-18, Spitty, Jug, you name it).

I'll be catching you guys online, where you can recognize me on the burning wreck dropping from the skies :).

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

| Windows 11 | i5-12400 | 64Gb DDR4 | RTX 3080 | 2x M.2 | 27" 1440p | Rift CV1 | Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS | MFG Crosswind pedals |

Intro and Thanks!

Ive been lurking in this forum for years and decided to join in Feb. Figured I should do a intro.

But first,

1. Thank you to the entire ED team for making the simulator of my dreams! I never thought back in the Janes days that something as complex and realistic as DCS World would ever exist. And with VR? Unbelivable!

Your commitment to improving and expanding DCS is outstanding!!!!

I own every module as a show of support.(besides, they are all fun to fly:))

I send my highest regards and wishes for continued success!

2. Thanks as well to the forum admins, helpers and volunteers. Your professionalism, help, PATIENCE and understanding are to be commended. It may seem like a thankless job at times but be assured you efforts are appreciated.

Thank-You!

3.To the community at large, You guys are the most dedicated and passionate group I've ever come across. It is because of your efforts that this sim has been take to a new level.

The mods created, help and support given, and opinions offered have increased my enjoyment of DCS immensely.

Thank-You!!

About me,

Im a 60 year old (hence the 60 in sig) self employed auto repair shop owner specializing in european cars. Just repaired a 72 Rolls Royce Corniche convertible. So I like to fix things.

Been simming since 1985/6. Started with flight simulator on a apple 2e!

I think i bought almost EVERY sim produced since, good and bad!

A real simaholic.:D Still have my FLCS and TQS with the digital chip upgrade! Sadly, they do not work in win 7.

Thanks to the information, mods and apps on this forum, Ive updated my "sim pit" to include,

Warthog Hotas

Track ir5

(all below new since 2/16)

Cougar mfds on top lilliput usb monitors

Saitek bip, multi, switch, radio and tpm panels

4 Saitek FIPs

VRInsight Multi switch panel

DSD Flt1

2 home made button boxes using BBI-32s with encoders, rotary switches and 2/3 way toggles.

Soon to come a new Pc and Rift!

I haven't had so much FUN in years!

Thanks again to all, Gotta go, my Gazelle "Tasha" awaits.

PS,

Hey Wags, I STILL fly your missions in Janes F18.

Might be cool to Know the sim backgrounds of the ED team and forum team.

Perhaps another thread.

"Yeah, and though I work in the valley of Death, I will fear no Evil. For where there is one, there is always three. I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."

Hi DCS community, my name is Jim and I’m from Australia. I've been a long time lurker in these forums and just recently joined.

My childhood dream was to be a fighter pilot. At the age of 18 I applied to the Airforce for officer training to become a pilot but was rejected:(, ran home to mum and cried like a sissy girl:cry:.

11 years later I found DCS and finally stopped crying. My dream is now fulfilled. I would like to thank Eagle Dynamics for making this kid’s dream come true, keep up the good work. Will be catching you guys in the virtual skies soon enough.

PC Specs also known as "The Beast"; Intel Pentium 133mhz; 350MB HDD; 8MB RAM; ATI RAGE 3D 4MB; Windows 95

Brand new to DCS and the A-10C having jumped in about a week ago.

I was a long-time Falcon addict but this is a whole different animal. Really enjoying the process of learning the systems, learning to fight and trying to tie it all together with a good joystick config. The depths to which the in-sim switchology goes is mind blowing.

I'm an AZ resident and my day job is aviation photography. Link to my site is in my profile if you'd care to peruse some eye candy.

Reading this forum and scouring the web voraciously for every nugget I can find. Maybe someday I'll be worthy of multiplayer, but I have a lot of work to do first.

Regards to all...

Welcome! I'm checking the website out now, these are some really great pictures!

Those are some fantastic images!

Feel free to post some to the Photos and Videos thread, we can never get too much aviation porn. :D

If you add your homepage to your signature (User CP -> Edit Signature) it'll be much easier for people to find; I don't look at user's profiles that often. ;)
