Damn beczl... you're really good! and damnit, I still can't REP you

This aircraft is such a classic and DCS worthy! But even if its with its own cockpit and propper FM avionics and weapons for FC2 I'd be very happy to have it :joystick:

Beczl, remind me to press that button again when you get this baby out, if this turns out to be anything on the level of FC2 aircraft it'll be worth chipping in bit more :smilewink:

That's a 100mm focused SzS-45-1-100-0Sz photo cam that provide the target photo when the pilot use the plane main-gun, gun-pod or shot any missile os rocket as well. It use 35x24mm negative. It take 5shot/sec. The negative lenght 3,6m. Maximum shot lenght 150sec, Max usage: 2000m

Amazing!

Tell us, about possible "movable" stuff around cockpit, not clickable, just that moves. Dial switches, toggles?

Will you be able to make radar display work?

The cockpit won't clickable in V1.0 (If I have enough time later on it should be clickable)

- All gauges will working

- fully working engine control handle, gear handle, flaps handles, with their limitators, buttons on handle moving also

- all warning lights visible as real

- all weapon selection, jettison, canopy jettison switches emergency procedures switches, handles are working as moves part

- Autopilot, stab switches also moves

- full night light

- Some real Mig-21 HUD symbols will also working (the Mig-21 hasn't a full HUD. it's only a simple gyro handled sighting device)

- The hardest part will be the Radar. I create a plan how we can activate/use it (like LEAVU2) but I won't promise anything...

Your cockpit work looks great beczl! :)

Can I ask you where you are at poly-wise?

I am working on a couple of cockpit projects with similar detail level as yours and I am getting slightly worried about that aspect.

Ahh.. ok. It's too much yet. It's 125.000 poly w 161.000 vertices. But it doesn't optimised and many unvisible parts (objects backface for example) still exist. My plan is to keep the whole poly count below 100.000 poly and 90.000 vertices.

In compare the A-10C cockpit has ~210.000 poly and 190.000 vertices and the KA-50 has ~ 65.000poly and 70.000 vertices as far as I know.

Ok thanks for the info beczl :) .

The reason I asked is that one of my pits is roughly at the same degree of completion as yours - I have a little less work on the "tub", but a little more on the gauges and I am at around 115k with back faces removed. So it sounds very similar to yours.

In compare the A-10C cockpit has ~210.000 poly and 190.000 vertices

WOW over 200k for the A-10C pit?! - thats a lot more than I expected.

..and the KA-50 has ~ 65.000poly and 70.000 vertices as far as I know.

Yeah something like that(a little less I think - IIRC its around 55k) - thats why I was a little worried about my pits looking to end up at 3 times that count. But if DCS A-10C can handle a pit of some 200k, then we should be fine with ours :)

Cheers,

Nice 3D cockpit! It will be definitely worth to play famous Fishbed together with new great Su-25 3D cockpit too.

Our family of planes is growing ^^

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D
