Vekkinho
Ok thanks for the info beczl :) . The reason I asked is that one of my pits is roughly at the same degree of completion as yours - I have a little less work on the "tub", but a little more on the gauges and I am at around 115k with back faces removed. So it sounds very similar to yours. Is it MiG-29K pit?! ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Alfa
Anybody know how can I create a cockpit mirror? I tried several way through LOMUtils but no success. :-( Haven't tried so I don't know, but working mirrors might be a similar deal as with HUD and HDD. aaron886
Anybody know how can I create a cockpit mirror? I tried several way through LOMUtils but no success. :-( It has been tried many times, but it is suspected to only be possible using CMD tools at this point... so no. :(
HungaroJET
Anybody know how can I create a cockpit mirror? I tried several way through LOMUtils but no success. :-( :hmm: I know this is not too much, but maybe will help a bit: Many dll files make the view onto mirrors (cockpitbase, dxrenderer, options, visualizer, view) so its hardcoded also - i quess, but Arg No.3 turning on mirrors (value > 0.5) in older cmd cockpits. BTW: check your email Beczl Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. beczl
Hmm. I saw some custom cockpit that use mirror. So it should be possible somehow. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u194/pablofbs/simulator2011-03-2118-15-31-25.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u194/pablofbs/simulator2011-03-1116-03-39-88.jpg And you can see this video. The mirror is working... @HungaroJET: I checking now. Unfortunately the tvn.hu service sometimes quite silly.
Blaze
You would name the mirror object ZERKALA in max, and the game would render the mirror there, but the method only works in .cmd models. :( And you can see this video. The mirror is working... http://vimeo.com/20984901. That's the default A-10 cockpit with objects removed using hex-editing. beczl
I'm looking for a person who able to write me a lot of Russian text based on my real cockpit pictures. It's not a hard to-do just read the pics and write the text as a simple Cyrillic characterized UTF-8 plain text or a Word doc to me. I read/write and understand Russian language a bit of course, but I have no Russian keyboard and character layout at the moment so I need help. Without this the texturing is should be more painful and of course time consuming. Any help is appreciated.

Use translate.google.com and use the on screen keyboard which will be in Russian. Set first language as Russian. P.S. : I use google chrome. beczl
ok, as you asked, .txt file UTF-8 with almost all text from your cockpit pictures: for every photo (or set of photos related to same panel), i made section and wrote all text I could read from panels, gauges, knobs, switches.... Every section is numbered same as relative photo. Hope it will be usefull :) PS. Forgot to say: words and letters I could not read is marked with question marks (?) :) Oh man you're a genie. :-) Thanks you very much. It'll very usefull for me. :-)

beczl
Great job!! Well done. If you need some help for texturing, maybe community can help? Yeah I have a same idea, but it's should be quite difficult sometimes, becuse most of texture need to compare with 3DS Max time to time for corrections. Anyway if somebody has a good PS skill and have some (a lot of :music_whistling:) freetime feel free to contact me some texturing to-do's.
combatace
What plane have you replaced in FC for your Mig-21? beczl
What plane have you replaced in FC for your Mig-21? The F-16A slot will be replaced by Mig-21 Well, the trickiest part is that 3d cockpit, so texturing without model is quite complicate. Maybe you can make some template files first and then, anyone can paint them in PS? You know, when I make model, I usually make template texture files with different color sections for each plate, so I can easy repaint them after finish model. I already UW-d all main panels, so if somebody has a free time feel free to contact me. :-)
