Raptordadgaming
I'm using Gimp 2.0 and have viewed a lot of tutorials but can't seem to figure out how to remove the default lettering on the roughmets, specifically the F-16 and F-14. When I try to decompose them to their respective base layers, I can see red, green and blue but not the layer for the logos etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated! razo+r
Roughmets is for the properties of the texture, as in how reflective the texture looks etc. If you want to edit the true colors that you actually see, you have to edit the normal texture, not the Roughmet one. Raptordadgaming
Forgive the hideous colors but, I tried to delete them with no luck as I can see the layer with the logos and letters. As such, I come out with this (specifically see the vert with SW as the tail-code etc). Edited October 10, 2021 by Raptordadgaming
razo+r
Ah, I see what you mean. Cycle through the different textures with the F# keys in the MV. Then you see on which layer of the roughmet you have to look for the letters.

My bad for literally the year later response but thanks a bunch!
