Steady Cockpit Mouse

What makes using the mouse in the cockpit much more difficult, is when the headshake of the pilot moves the mouse as well, e.g. during rough maneuvers. So how about an option to scroll the mouse independently of the player head movement along a sphere around the pilot's head? The center mouse button should recenter the mouse pointer in the player's center of view, if he looses it.

This seems like a really good suggestion, yet I’ve not seen any other flight sim do this. I wonder why that is?

Cause 99.9% of them don't have clicky pits and this issue doesn't exist 😛

There are quite a few. DCS isn’t the only one. But they all work the same, the cursor moves with your head. In the civy sims with the tiny double combo twist and push knobs on the Garmin you gotta keep your head really still! I pause to consider that military pilots wear gloves and such tiny knobs would be impossible to use… lucky for DCS

If I remember correctly BMS has a cockpit stabilized mouse cursor, but it's been a long time so I could be wrong.

PS doesn’t look like MSFS has this. Maybe the whole concept is distantly related to mouse-look being connected to cockpit operation for those without head tracking. But today having head tracking or VR is the norm but games somehow haven’t kept with the times in this regard.
