Yes, that is indeed a screen shot from the A-10C Desk Top Simulation (DTS) we are creating for the ANG/USAF. Currently we're wrapping up Phase 2 of the project. Much of the content of this DTS will make its way into "DCS: A-10C Warthog".

Russia, north of Georgia. Terrain covered in BS.

Way to go ED!

Now NATO can learn their way thru Caucasus gorges!

Why didn't U introduce Cuba/Florida map in that A-10C DTS?!

Edit:

I'm kidding of course!

They're running it at Randolf AFB?

LOL...wow, that sure is close to home. Thats about a 20 minute drive from me. So close, but yet so far away.

EDIT: One thing I think is really cool...he's got the MFD view zoomed in way the hell far. "Oh noez! That isn't realistic." :P

There is lots more to the story, but it's not something we're going to be discussing in public. Suffice it to say that some of the technology being used for Lock On and DCS is being used to train USAF pilots and Sensor Operators.

There are more realistic HOTAS available, particularly for the A-10C, but some of the training can be managed using CH and Thrustmaster gear.

Hello Stormin!

You're referring to ED being contracted to make sims for military purposes, right?

And it's pretty clear why, looking at the stick. :D
