Airfields Are Repairing Too Quickly...Again!

Beirut after being hit with multiple JSOW-C's in the same spot and Mig-21's just taxi right over the spot.

This seems to be an ongoing problem, sometimes OK for awhile and then back again with no answer in sight. We bomb a runway or taxiway and right now the AI just taxi over the crater on the taxiway or take off from the runway as if there's no problem. If you're a client and you try this you'll fall in easily. It's happening on the Syria and Caucasus maps. Also, the repairs happen way to fast now. It used to take about 10 hours for a runway in Caucasus to repair, now it's an hour. Same thing in the Syria map and in PG map. I don't understand why there's so much inconsistency in the maps as far as repair and damage modeling is concerned. Also, the AI still do not respect the ownership of an airfield. Late activation enemy will spawn even though the airfield is owned by another coalition. So we essentially have to turn off all the reaction aircraft to make the scenario work. Really frustrating stuff.

+1!

Our squadron (85 pilots) enjoys long mission that runs a span of multiple sorties, and it's frustrating to destroy a runway to only have DCS repair it quickly (60 minutes?).

Why does DCS repair runways so quickly? Can we control how long it takes, or is this hard coded? @BIGNEWY save us please!

I would attach the track file but it's 200MB. This behavior is repeatable.

+1 here as well.

When you have missions that periodically spawn aircraft, this bug makes OCA Strike missions completely useless, and often negatively affects the intent of the mission (e.g. OCA strikes being a means to roll back the air threat).

Piling on.  The Su-27 taxied past the first fire.  Held short in the second fire.  Waited for an AI F-5 to take-off and the proceeded like the aircraft hadn't just been hanging out a 1000 degree fireball created by the jet that had blown up just before it thought it was OK to hang out in said fireball.   Absurd is too mild a word to describe describe this situation.
