last night I left my printer running, and this morning I come down to find a large lump of solid plastic attached to the print head, but no parts of my controller. Oh well, start again…

I hate when that happens!!!

usually sign of need for new print nozzle.. or something off with stl file..

today im trying to build a dry box before i start printing.. the moisture proof storage box is in!  hopefully i  can start my first parts to be printed!

Nope, my bad… I changed from PLA to PETG without realising! Settings were wrong. So, cleaned the bed, changed the settings and boom, now it’s printing beautifully again!

plagued with a bunch of printer problems

changed nozzle, tube and replaced drive feeder.

running calibration  prints...

Ugh, I hate my printer too sometimes. It would not print. I changed settings, nozzle and cleaned the bed. For 3 days it printed perfectly. Then yesterday, completely freaked out again and will NOT print…. I feel your pain. I put a new hotend on yesterday, and STILL messing about.

@molevitch do you think there any other functions i should look into? i like to at end of the day also use this controller for other DCS modules... would be nice to know what the mosquito bombing apparatus controls are...

State of mine, awaiting Hall sensors, push buttons and wiring up.

 Mind blown.

It looks amazing.

I have to ask, does your build have a physical auto center?

If not you will find that monocle slewing will be a constant drifting unless u know where the center of the pot will be.

It was making my build auto center that much harder

I totally agree !

What a magnificent job Mole !!
I remember when you told me that you were thinking of buying a 3D printer !😃

What a long way to go!

Yes, it is autocentring on both axes. I will post pix of that system soon, though it’s basically a few springs!

@RazorbackYes, 3d printing has changed my life, when coupled with Fusion 360!

i just saw your link about the french joystick build @Razorback

it looks cool but at the same time looks like a difficult thing to print..

you can design great things.. but also you have to be realistic on how you can make your design.

who knows, the french can build it with easy, but from my capability it looks difficult.

in the mean time, me and @molevitchare in a race to build the Mi24 aiming station!

at the rate i am going, ill probably done by end of month..

That's for sure a master piece !

When available on the Virpil Website ? 😉

Are you thinking of producing a document that explains all the construction, the origin of certain parts, the switch models, the connection to the LB board, etc.?
With of course the files that would allow to reproduce the parts with a 3D printer...
