** Announcing DCS: Eurofighter by Heatblur Simulations & TrueGrit!! **

To all of you who are concerned that the EF will impact the development of other modules, or our passion, dedication to complete existing one, etc: it won't.

Of course each thing that we do impacts everything else that we do in a way, but when we announced both the a-6 and roadmap, this was already a planned thing for us.

I have to say it's hard to imagine it won't impact the roadmap at all (read: the timelines of the other HB modules) - if TrueGrit could have developed it alone, they would have; thus, some experienced HB personnel will have to work with them on the EF module which means they won't be able to work on other modules, etc.

But, OK, hope those other two modules will be  announced (and thus get closer to being released) in relatively near future, but given the slipping dates with Viggen and F-14 being feature complete and now EF, I guess it won't happen in near future. Though, that's assuming at least one of them is indeed something from 70s/80s/early 90s matching the F-14 and Viggen modules.

I do hope I'm absolutely wrong on most if not all accounts, of course 🙂

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

@IronMike said, that the EF was already included in HB's roadmap when they published it a few months ago.

I guess the only way it doesn't impact their roadmap is if having HB+TrueGrit together let them get some additional investors that the original companies alone wouldn't have managed, which they could use e.g. to hire more people.

But yeah, even if it does impact their roadmap, it really doesn't matter. There were two mystery jets on there and whether the EF delays one (or both) of those or not, we're still getting HB modules anyway and that's what matters.

This is AWESOME!

Only thing I am worried about is the laughable g-tolerance "simulation" DCS has, which makes e.g. F-16 a handicapped airframe.

Can HB model their own, proper, g-tolerance for the EF-2000, so we can properly use it's energy fighting abilities?

I am extremely confident this module will be in my library as soon as I can get my hands on it.

This is a great aircraft to add to the game. Fantastic. Hope it comes before I have to retire 😄

Dear all,

We were made aware of an ambiguity with regards to the license for an element present in the Eurofighter announcement trailer released yesterday. We've decided to temporarily hide the video until we resolve the issue.

This has no bearing or effect on the development of the Eurofighter for DCS World, and our development team forges on unhindered.

Thank you for all of your amazing feedback and excitement. This is why we do what we do, and we can't wait to share more with you soonest.

Sincerely,

Team Heatblur and TrueGrit

What happened to the video on the first page? I can't play it anymore. I can't find in in YT either.
Apparently the video is now private. No idea.
