Took her today, from Guam to Rota Intl, using ADF to fly around. Instrument navigation is something that is underrated by many users in DCS, but it does works fine. Diesel_Thunder Posted July 5, 2021 Share Posted July 5, 2021 I did that the other night as well. Was fun to just do an overwater flight, while also doing some radio nav with the NDB. I think the Huey is one of the few aircraft that can use the NDB’s. Thought I'd work on my hand flying (no trimmer), and keep a specific flight profile, 90 kts and 300 feet ASL. With few spatial references as your flying over water, with only distant islands on the horizon, it forces me to really focus on the flight basics.
