DCS openbeta. Crashing when loading a mission

With a 100% probability the game crashes when loading a mission on the mi-24 (introductory flight in syria).
Any other plane / helicopter is the same. But for example, I took mi-24.

What have I tried?

1) Updated all drivers (466.77 now video card driver)
2) Deleted C:\Users\%username%\Saved Games\DCS
Deleted all DCS folders in
C:\Users\%username%\AppData
3) Reinstalled completely DCS from Steam
4) Checked the game files via Steam
5) In the settings of the Windows defender, 
I set an exception for the folder in AppDate and for the folder of the game itself in the incentive

None of this helped. Once upon a time I installed a french mod, but 2 and 3 points should have removed all remnants of this mod, 
I don't think that's the problem
The most important thing is a memory leak somewhere. DCS eats up all memory and crashes EVERYTHING - discord, chrome, windows explorer

The log and DXDiag are confirming that all memory has been used.

 

Is this only on the Syria map or do you have problems on the other maps as well?

 

Just before your crash you get the following lines in the log

@Flappie - thanks for the education - everyday is a schoolday (and I will give up when this is not the case)

 

The interesting thing here is that I don't think @kux has actually made it in to the mission (unless perhaps the load is from the ME). The log doesn't contain a 'Dispatcher: loadMission Done: Сontrol passed to the player' entry

You're right, this happens before he can even access the "FLY" button. I've just tested this: these messages are also displayed during mission loading.

So he's almost at the end of the loading when it freezes.

@kuxPlease try this:

  1. Open your Windows pagefile settings (see here)
  2. Untick "Automatically..."
  3. Change the init and max value: init = 32768, max = 32768 (you'll need at least 50 GB of free space in the drive the pagefile is stored on, but I can see you have sufficient room in your 3 drives)
  4. Hit "Set" then "OK"

Yes - I meant to mention those in the initial response but they obviously got lost when I changed what I was saying (memo to self - concentrate on one answer at a time)

I already had 16gb installed, I installed 32gb and nothing changed 😞 I tried to send log, but I don't know whether it worked or not, because all the memory is eaten up and everything just closes

my settings are

I have two monitors and the first is in 4k resolution. Maybe it has something to do with the problem

OK, then please try emptying these folders (I know you may have already emptied some of them in the past):

  • C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache
  • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS
  • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta

Windows will probably prevent deletion of some files in NV_Cache: just hit "Ignore". This happens when Firefox, Chrome or other desktop apps using shaders are running.

Yes, apparently the problem is in the map of Syria. Without any problems, everything loaded perfectly on the Caucasian map and the Persian Gulf

After these actions, it began to work.
ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NV_Cache - Are the generated shaders here? Perhaps I minimized to alt + tab at the first load, when generating shaders and something went wrong 🙂
