CaptainNZ
Hi all, Experiencing something really weird. I am able to launch all my other modules (F-16 for example) however when I try and launch the hind my DCS crashes. What's more bizarre, if I launch the weapons range mission, I can see the Hind slots but when I select one of the helicopter presets a mouse cursor comes up for a second and it crashes. When in multiplayer, I can see other hind players flying around but as soon as I swap from the aircraft I am in to the hind, my game crashes. I have tried: Deleting FXO, metashaders2 Updating windows Updating drivers Deleting saved game Installing Hind manually with CMD Completely reinstalling DCS Repairing DCS I have attached the logs since reinstalling. dcs.log-20210617-032218.zip DCS Modules owned: Aircraft: Mi-24P Hind, A-10C II, AV-8B, Bf-109 K4, Black Shark 2, F-14 Tomcat, F-16C Viper, F-5E Tiger II, F-86F Sabre, F/A-18C Hornet, FW 190 A-8, FW 190-D9 Dora, I-16, JF-17 Thunder, M-2000C, Mi-8MTV2, MiG-21bis, P-47D Thunderbolt, Persian Gulf, Spitfire LF Mk. ED Team NineLine Posted June 17, 2021 ED Team Share Posted June 17, 2021 Are you using any mods? Overclocking anything? The track supplied with the crash log loads and closes fine. I do not see a crash. So if you can give some more info that could help. CaptainNZ
Hey @NineLine, No I am not using any mods. I have also tried with overclocked & non overclocked settings. Running a fresh install of DCS. I attached a log here from before reinstalling DCS. I can jump in a mission with any other module & it works perfectly fine. As soon as I try a mission with the hind I get DCS has crashed. Only problem is the hind unfortunately. I am so jealous of everyone else using it dcs.log-20210617-015859.zip dcs.log-20210617-012717.zipHere is another log if it helps (Prior to reinstalling DCS) DCS Modules owned: Aircraft: Mi-24P Hind, A-10C II, AV-8B, Bf-109 K4, Black Shark 2, F-14 Tomcat, F-16C Viper, F-5E Tiger II, F-86F Sabre, F/A-18C Hornet, FW 190 A-8, FW 190-D9 Dora, I-16, JF-17 Thunder, M-2000C, Mi-8MTV2, MiG-21bis, P-47D Thunderbolt, Persian Gulf, Spitfire LF Mk. wowbagger
You're definitely trying all the correct things. Have you tried renaming/moving your Saved Games DCS folder and letting the game create a new one temporarily? Solution CaptainNZ Posted June 17, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted June 17, 2021 Hello all, Okay I managed to solve this. I uninstalled my drivers using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode & the hind worked!!! Very funny considering all other modules worked, but I am one happy comrade! 2 DCS Modules owned: Aircraft: Mi-24P Hind, A-10C II, AV-8B, Bf-109 K4, Black Shark 2, F-14 Tomcat, F-16C Viper, F-5E Tiger II, F-86F Sabre, F/A-18C Hornet, FW 190 A-8, FW 190-D9 Dora, I-16, JF-17 Thunder, M-2000C, Mi-8MTV2, MiG-21bis, P-47D Thunderbolt, Persian Gulf, Spitfire LF Mk.
