Stable version takes around 5-10 seconds from double clicking the desktop icon to loaded, 2.7 takes around 30 - 40 seconds. Both are installed on the same SSD. After double clicking the beta icon the taskbar icon seems to 'pulse' green a few times. AMD Ryzen 5 5600X; ASUS ROG Strix X570-F, Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (2x 32GB) 3600MHz; Seagate FireCuda 510 500GB M.2-2280 (OS); Samsung 860 EVO 2TB M.2-2280 (DCS); MSI GeForce RTX 3090 SUPRIM X 24GB OC GPU. Yes, it takes longer, for me it is measured 38 seconds, but c'mon man, not a biggie, or is it? Really? AND it is not a BUG, it is a feature of the NEW DCS version. Maybe your platform is stable and does not require a restart after changing missions or aircraft./ We all have different experiences of DCS. Startup is now 8 times longer. Say in the future - v2.8 - is rolled out. Startup takes 8x longer again - 4 minutes - no biggie? And i always have DCS folders as exception on Windows Defender. - "Don't be John Wayne in the Break if you´re going to be Jerry Lewis on the Ball". So if you're emptying this folder before starting DCS, you will have long loading times. Please attach your latest "dcs.log" file ( C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS...\Logs\dcs.log - may appear as "dcs" ). I will compare it with mine.
