lipas70
Hi. After last patch I don't have 20mm cannon tracers. I tested all ammo types and no result. Is this a bug or is it supposed to be? DD_Fenrir
It's as it's supposed to be.
Samtehram
I've have the same issue- even when I'm selecting belts that have (Tracers) in them.
lipas70
Rather not, especially since you can choose bullets with tracers. I'd rather hear ED's opinion on this. W10 64bit, i9 9900K, 64GB RAM, GTX 1070Ti, 27" FullHD monitor
razo+r
You can choose 7.7mm with tracers. But not 20mm. They are labeled with HEI/SAPI, and not HEI-T or SAPI-T.
Worrazen
Yeah no tracers for me as well, looks like it's not just me. So is it a bug or the defaults have changed to no tracers? EDIT: Seems like In an earlier custom mission my ammunition is set to no tracer, I don't remember setting that, might have been a coincidence or something. Works fine and defaults are with tracer, tested in a new fresh mission file. Edited June 6, 2021 by Worrazen Modules: A-10C I/II, F/A-18C, Mig-21Bis, M-2000C, AJS-37, Spitfire LF Mk. ED Team NineLine Posted June 18, 2021 ED Team Share Posted June 18, 2021 From what I found in my research tracers were not used on the 20mm, rather the .303s were used for lining up. Nealius
Don't they have different trajectories? I've always had to walk the 20s on target because they've never hit where the 303s have been hitting.
ED Team NineLine Posted June 24, 2021 ED Team Share Posted June 24, 2021 They should all be harmonized to hit at the same area, so you would be able to use them to guide the cannons. Nealius
Do you know offhand what the convergence distance is? I always set my sights for 500~600 yards thinking they were about the same as the 1200ft convergence on the Mustang and Tbolt, but I don't recall seeing a proper convergence distance chart for the Spitire like I have the others. I may have been incorrectly setting it.
philstyle
If historically accurate it should be in the 250 to 300 yard range. 1 On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/philstylenz Storm of War WW2 server website: https://stormofwar.net/
Art-J
^ I believe it is. I remember testing it back when the module was released (taxiing to the tall building next to Nalchik apron, shooting at it to find convergence point, measuring distances with map ruler + F11 cam and using basic trigonometry). Not a perfect method but sufficient to get a ballpark figure. I don't recall the result but it was roughly about 250 metres (270'ish yds). I suspect that didn't change in later game versions. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
