Hung Stores and limitations for F18/16 and probably other modules.

Why is it that the Jeff is the only plane in DCS with some sort of stores limits modeled?

 

Minimally the F18 and F16 should have some sort limits added for heavy stores like bombs/tanks and so forth. I mean there is no consequence just hauling back on the stick in the Viper with a cat3 loadout right now, and I'm fairly certain its the case for the F18 as well. 

 

Not sure on the current state of some of the other modules like the A10/harrier/F14 (i know you can break the 14s wings)

 

But I think this needs to be applied across all DCS modules if we are striving for "realism".

I agree that it is a problem in the same vein as the 'individual weapon stats' have been a problem. The Jeff is certainly not the only module that has that kind of thing modeled, but the degrees vary a lot. Off the top of my head the A-10C (at least the old one, the II presumably, too) can have these problems, but they are fairly rare due to the generally slow speeds and the MiG-21bis will literally lose payloads along with the mounts in hard manoeuvres.

Aye, I have wondered about this for some time. You read of stuff being torn off in WW2 scenarios mostly but it must be an issue with modern aircraft also surely.

+1, to be honest there's a lot of things the JF-17 does well that should be applied to other modules.

Yeah, one hand I love the freezing pilot and fogging they do, I also hate it cuz no other module has to deal with it. So I leave it off for MP.
