rkk01
Can anyone advise on hardware etc for DCS??? I used to have a really good audio set up (to my ears anyway) Creative X-fi card outputting to a Creative T7900 sub and 7.1 speaker system. Yes, an old system, but filled the room with sound and was excellent for both gaming and music... When I last upgraded my motherboard (2020) I had to ditch the X-fi card as there wasn’t a suitable expansion slot. The m/b onboard Realtek sound output doesn’t recognise the 7.1 speaker set and has never delivered the same sort of audio that the older kit provided Any thoughts? Is there a modern equivalent to / improvement on the X-fi? I see Creative do a USB based expansion

rkk01
Pretty sure the card was conventional PCI but new m/b is all PCIe
