NWGJulian
hey guys. i noticed this in the f18 and also in the f16. i play in vr. since the update, the mfds seem very dark. its playable in the f18, but in the f16, it is very hard to read things on the fcr. it is just not very bright. i deleted metashaders and fxo, but it didnt make a difference. am i the only one with that problem? i think it has to do with the new lights modell, thats why i put it in the „weather and clouds“ forum. In 2.7 in daytime noonish when su n is bright the MFDs are extremely hard to read in F-16 - several posts here confirm it as well as a miz I posted for BigNewy... that said ED hasn’t acknowledged the issue ignoring it. it’s definitely related to lighting - they fixed this in the F-18 but broke it in the F-16. it’s related to TOD - early morning / evening it looks fine
wilbur81
Indeed, in overcast conditions during mission start the Hornet mfd's are extremely dark. i7 8700K @ Stock - Win10 64 - 32 RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC - 55 inch 4k Display

The MFD's are really dark in certain conditions, and as they are already quite small in the F16 i feel they are literally damaging my eyes Edited May 31, 2021 by Csgo GE oh yeah
Ourorborus
Does anyone know the equivalent file for F18? Mine are now unreadable. Lange_666
Same on single A-10A MFD, 2D is acceptable, VR is really dark (way to dark). Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S. Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!
RedLion
Indeed, the first thing I've noticed after upgrade is the working communication in Case II recovery and very dim (mostly unreadable) displays. I only use stable release in VR mode.
