112th_Rossi
It seems that the sea looks like a completely flat featureless zone. I've tried adjusting weather and wind conditions but there are now waves. Wave crests seem to r ender but other than the it seems very flat.

Stearmandriver
Real world sea state is always dependent on swell and wind waves. Those pics above are with no swell, and obviously in low winds. It would be cool to have a separate swell setting in the mission editor, but higher wind speed has always made higher wind waves in DCS. I haven't tried high winds since 2.7, but 15kts made a decent-looking choppy sea. I agree that in low winds, the DCS sea is too glassy now.
norman99
One of the reason we need a seperate “sea state” control, so we have the ability to change swell size, regardless of wind conditions. I want to be able to land (well, crash actually...) on this.
andyn
I remember seeing another thread about sea state vs wind speed in 2.5.6, and the general consensus of both aviators and sailors was that the waves on open seas were way too high for given wind speeds. Hence, the current implementation in 2.7 can be considered an upgrade until we get a separate sea state slider or the coastline proximity is taken into account in the weather model.
