sirrah
Thank you @Steinsch! Being a 1080ti owner, this comparison video is really to the point and handy for me I'm actually surprised in how much better the 3080 performs as to the 1080ti. I mean, I expected the 3080 to perform better, but I didn't expect it to be 40 to 50 fps! You don't have a HMD lying around by any chance? I wonder how big the difference is on any of the modern HMD's (like the Reverb G2) (not that it would help me much in the end, considering the 3080 shortage, waiting time and, above all, current pricing) Edited April 6 by sirrah System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- HP Reverb v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM ~ No war today... the enemy just called in sick ~ GUMMBAH
Steinsch
I'm glad you've found the comparison useful! Unfortunately, I don't fly VR. Later this year, hopefully! Steinsch Flying Virtual F-15s since 1989 YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/c/CommanderSteinsch

Steinsch
@Eaglewings Thanks! I remember when I was considering upgrading from my 3rd gen CPU and 1070. I could not find anything useful that could help me with the selection of new components. Got lots of advice at the time, but it wasn't backed by anything. Hopefully these videos will help more people to make more informed purchase decisions and make the most of their hardware in DCS.
