Pello86
Hi guys, I am thinking of upgrading my RIFT S to a HP REVERB G2. I am wondering if it’s worth the money and what the performance is like? Also I am open to advice from other head sets too. Have been enjoying mine practically daily now for the last few months. I will tell you I ended up running the thing at 100% Steam VR Resolution which in my case is 3172x3100 per eye. I run it with Motion Smoothing on forced at 45 fps. DCS graphics very high and it is gorgeous to me. I do have a pretty beefy rig with a 3090 though. The controllers are pretty decent also - maybe a small step below the Oculus controllers, but I played a couple of VR games with it and they did fine. 1 Don B My VKB Gunfighter MK III Pro L Review EVGA Z390 Dark MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.2 GHz | EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | 32 GB G Skill Trident Z 3200 MHz CL14 | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler | Samsung 970 Pro, 970 Evo 1TB m.2 Nvme |VKB GF MK III Pro L Ultimate Grip| Virpil CM3 Throttle |Reverb G2 |
Pello86
Thanks DBurne. I have a decent rig too with 2080TI. I wasn’t that impressed with the smoothness of the RIFT S, I found my FPS was always pretty low! javelina1
with your 9700K, are you overclocking at all? You can safely get away with a 4.9ghz with that CPU. The CPU bump alone will help your FPS too.
