Diac
I remember reading about a terrain avoidance radar mode for the Hornet. Is this still planned to be implemented at some point? 3
Harker
TA is part of the radar suite, it should definitely come (along with VS and PVU). It was also available with the older APG-65. 1 The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. BIGNEWY
Hi, terrain avoidance is being considered for the future, but not terrain following, it would not be accurate for our hornet. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Harker
Hi, terrain avoidance is being considered for the future, but not terrain following, it would not be accurate for our hornet. thanksHey BN, what do you mean by considered? It's a standard mode of the radar and integral to low level IFR. Even the older APG-65 had it. Is there a chance that we won't see it before the Hornet is completed? (I'm not talking about exiting EA, I'm talking about the Hornet being considered complete). If it's an issue of being unsure about our radar supporting it, I can PM info. 2 1 The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. AvroLanc
Gents, it gets worse....Discord comments suggest VS mode not planned at all.... Why have complete standard radar modes not been considered yet? They are not data restricted nor hard to get info on. Edited Wednesday at 08:01 AM by AvroLanc
