wraith70
I've attached a track. This is the first time it's happened to me so I'm a bit confused. I can't even take off until my engine overheats. What am I doing incorrectly?? -Wraith P-47 Engine Overheat.trk

Oil is cold and that is the reason why oil pressure is too high. It could be first reason fot the engine failure. The second reason could be that you use low RPM for manifold pressure you set for take-off. For 40+ inHg you must set 2550 RPM at least. grafspee
For take off use Max rpm and at least 40" using lower rpm and lower MP you will clag your engine. Second oil temp minimum 30C-40C, head temps i don't care.
