Night Lighting

Are there any plans to replace the globe style lights in the near future?

In my view they really spoil the otherwise excellent moonlight effects.  When flying over towns, the streetlight "globes" look to be about two metres in diameter, rather than a bright pinpoint illuminating its surroundings.

I know ray tracing is in the works as alluded to by someone at ED during an interview, so it will be nice to see floodlights illuminating static objects, rather than painted on the general area as a texture, but the globes really need changing in my opinion.

The SoH/PG map seems to have much more advanced, or at the very least, more natural looking lighting.

They're more diffuse without sacrificing brightness or range, they scale correctly without looking like giant opaque footballs, they take into account viewing angle (so blooms aren't visible when you don't have a LOS to the actual light source), as well as looking a hell of a lot better. I wish these lights could be ported over to all other maps as they really do look a whole lot better and it really shows what ED can do.

It would be good to see dynamic lights for flood lights - ultimately the landing lights on all of our aircraft already do this.
